Immigration Attorneys In Miami, FL

As an immigrant, you have a story to tell.  Regardless of how it started, it has led you here, to America, in search of a better life. Your immigration story may be a simple tale, or it could be a complicated account of a long, dangerous trip to escape violence, abuse or poverty. Your story is remarkable, but what is more important is finding someone that realizes that it does not define you; you are a talented, living person that has something to offer and dreams to fulfill.

Every immigration story is unique. While some involve fleeing conditions that are violent, frightening and inhumane, others purely want to bring their family to the United States to give them a better life; to put their talents and abilities to work in an environment that will allow them to thrive.  Whether you are running away from your past, or sprinting towards a brighter future, Garcia & Qayum Law Group, P.A. can help.

When dealing with matters of immigration law, it is essential to have someone on your side that knows how to deal with the complex structure of these laws and can help you achieve your goals.  Because of how complicated these matters can be, it takes a full, in-depth understanding of the law and how it is applied to know what to do in these situations.

One of the hardest parts of dealing with immigration cases in south Florida is finding someone who understands your side of the issues you are facing and will help you through it all. That is our goal at Garcia & Qayum Law Group, P.A., and because of that, you should call us today with your questions and concerns at (305) 230-4020. The sooner we talk, the faster your problems can be addressed.

We Will Help You

Unfortunately, many immigration cases are accompanied by unfair bias and hurdles that are a part of the legal system in America, whether you are seeking asylum or a Green Card.  Not every licensed professional has specific experience and knowledge with these areas of the law, so you must be careful when choosing whom to trust with your future.

Our team has years of experience helping people just like you to reach their dreams and goals, specializing in:

Deportation Defense
Removal Proceedings
Cancellation of Removal
Family-based Adjustment
Naturalization
Asylum
Change of Status

 Immigration Bond
 BIA Appeals
 Criminal Alien Defense
 Federal Appeals
 Marriage Interviews
 Provisional Waivers
 Visas (EB-5 Investor Visa)

 Residency Applications and/or interviews
 Immigration Holds
 NACARA
 TPS
 Deferred Action/Executive order
 DOMA and Immigration Benefits
 Motions to Reopen

Many legal rulings can mean the difference between a life of safety and freedom in America and a life of fear, abuse, and violence. We want to help you avoid the pitfalls of the legal system to remain in the country you wish to call home.

Crimes and Immigration

There are many different situations that one can find themselves in when it comes to the meeting of criminal law and immigration, and most of them are not good.

We have years of experience in helping those whose immigration issues are complicated by various criminal charges and proceedings.  From a simple DUI to more serious charges, the outcome of your immigration status is largely in the hands of the legal representative you choose.

If you work with a lawyer that does not have experience navigating the maze of statutes and procedures when dealing with cases like yours, you are not going to get the best representation possible, and that could mean the difference between a positive outcome and one that ends in deportation.

The combination of immigration law and criminal charges is possibly the most convoluted area of the legal system in America, and not every firm has the skill and knowledge that Garcia & Qayum Law Group, P.A. has.  Book an appointment to speak with us today so we can figure out how to best handle the legal situation you have found yourself in, together.

ICE Detention

Perhaps your immigration status has become a more immediate problem than you expected; if you are detained at Krome, Broward Transitional Center or any other immigration detention center, you need a qualified, experienced lawyer immediately.

If your family member is detained, it is natural to feel defeated and lost.  The good news is that it is not too late for you!

Garcia & Qayum Law Group, P.A. specializes in helping people just like you, giving you the best chance possible of turning your family member’s current situation around, whether they are already in custody or facing the possibility of immigration detention by ICE.

Consequences of Criminal Convictions

A criminal conviction can lead to deportation.  These situations are not always as simple as some think, and a proper defense on your behalf could define your future. The system is extraordinarily complex and attempting to handle things yourself is highly discouraged as it often leads to consequences you may not even realize are possible.

For example, if you are not a citizen of the United States and are charged with a crime here, Mr. Qayum suggests you seek immigration advice before you enter a plea in criminal court, as pleas can have consequences regarding immigration. The best time to deal with those problems is before you enter an plea deal so you can make a fully informed decision.

A criminal defense lawyer will usually do the best job they can for you, but not every attorney has experience with the immigration system and could mistakenly give you advice that leads to prejudicial immigration consequences. The intersection of criminal and immigration law is particularly complex, and it takes a specialist in that field to be able to advise you in a way that is most beneficial to you in both areas.

If you need a lawyer to help your defense against deportation or removal, we can help; we know this because we have already helped plenty of people just like you to have the best chance possible of avoiding a forced departure from America. Trust the help of those that have been in your place; Garcia & Qayum Law Group knows what to do and can assist you in the process.

We Examine Everything

Your immigration case may be more complicated than you know, which can be a good thing, as there can be aspects of the legal process that can provide you with unexpected relief.

Our business is knowing precisely what the law says, how the processes work, and how to best apply this knowledge and experience to assist you.  We evaluate your entire immigration case, examining each issue you may face and addressing each of them with an in-depth approach to give you the best options to handle them with a successful outcome.

The goal for every immigrant is to remain in the United States once here, and our team knows the most appropriate legal path to take for that dream to come true.  There is no “one size fits all” advice in this area, as everyone’s story is different, so we will need to speak with you directly to determine the best course of action for your case.

Honest Advice Based on Experience

We do not believe in telling you what you want to hear to represent you; every immigration case is different from the rest, and our team will tell you exactly what challenges you face and the most appropriate way to deal with them.  With our team’s years of experience as both immigrants and attorneys, we will be able to assess your case and give you advice tailored to your history and circumstances.

At the Garcia & Qayum Law Group, we understand cases like yours from personal experience.  Our team is comprised of immigrants who know the struggle and can empathize with our clients, which gives us an edge over other attorneys in the immigration field.  What looks hopeless may very well be a situation that can be remedied easily, while what seems like a simple, straightforward process can involve hidden problems that are not evident to the untrained eye and can lead to more severe consequences.

Rather than trusting just anyone to preserve your future, call us today at (305) 230-4020 to book an appointment, or stop by our offices at 3475 West Flagler St., Miami, FL 33135 during business hours. We will be glad to talk with you about your story, and what we can do to help.

We understand that this can be a frightening time and dealing with any immigration issue is stressful at best, but you do not have to face it alone. Let us be there with you, every step of the way until your dreams become a reality.
